Growers of Premium Quality Hazelnuts

 

Welcome to the Nutt Ranch. We are a small, but busy, family orchard business situated in the beautiful Waihopai Valley on the fertile, stony terraces of the Omaka River, Marlborough, the heart of one of New Zealand's premier horticulture and wine regions. 

 

Our position at the top of New Zealand's South Island gives us the long hot summers and the crisp frosty winters needed to produce the premium quality hazelnut products offered here. 

 

Our hazelnut products are always of the current season and guaranteed fresh and healthful with a minimum of processing. In the late Summer and early Autumn our crop is harvested by hand, quality inspected, washed, and dried to a very low moisture content. Throughout the Winter, we crack, process, and package the products that are delivered to you as fresh and as quickly as is possible.

Our main crop cultivar is a New Zealand bred hazelnut named "Whiteheart". Its nuts are well known in New Zealand for their sweet nutty flavour, good size, and their ability to blanch  almost 100%. We are proud to be able to offer a nut of this quality. 

 

Our hazelnuts can be purchased by the kilogram, or in smaller packages as fresh natural, roasted and salted or as dry roasted nuts. 

We produce a cold pressed, light hazelnut oil which is a treat at any meal.

Our hazelnut flour is guaranteed 100% pure hazelnut and is delicious in baking, on its own or as an addition with other flours.  

Our hazelnut paste adds a new dimension to stir-fry, baking, and hazelnut butters. 

Nutt Ranch dukkah is a spicy mix with bread and oil, sprinkled over salads, or with pork or chicken.

We are also happy to supply custom orders to meet a client's specifications.
